Line 6 (Orange) is the newest line of the São Paulo metro. Its first section, with 6 stations between João Paulo I and Perdizes, was inaugurated on 2 July 2026. Line 6 (Orange) Timetable, São Paulo Metro
The first section of Line 6 (Orange) was inaugurated on 2 July 2026 and has carried passengers since 3 July, in assisted operation. At opening, the line ran Monday to Friday, 10:00 to 15:00 (not on public holidays), free of charge. These reduced hours are temporary, so check the current timetable with the concessionaire LinhaUni before you travel.

Line 6 (Orange) transfers São Paulo metro
At Água Branca station there is an interchange with Line 7 (Ruby) (TIC Trens). In this initial phase, changing lines means leaving one station and entering the other, paying the Line 7 fare.

Line 6 (Orange) is a public-private partnership of the São Paulo State Government, run by the concessionaire LinhaUni. The full project includes 15 stations and 15.3 km between Brasilândia and São Joaquim. The first section, from João Paulo I to Perdizes, was inaugurated on 2 July 2026 and began carrying passengers the next day, in assisted operation and free of charge.
